Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Free tier lets you build and publish your first event with no card on file. You only add payment details if you upgrade to Pro or Business.

How does Kefi handle ticket money?

The money lands directly in your own Stripe, Revolut Pay or PayPal account — Kefi never holds your funds. You can also take payment at the door and reconcile it in the same ledger.

How long does it take to publish an event?

Minutes. Pick a template, drop your logo, and Kefi extracts your palette and lays out a polished landing page with schedule, registration and check-in. Most organisers publish their first event in under ten minutes.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. On the Pro and Business tiers you can point your own custom domain at your Kefi event page, with an automatic SSL certificate.

What happens to attendee data?

Kefi is GDPR-built-in: exports, one-click erasure and retention controls are automated by default. Door staff and other roles get a PIN-scoped view, never a full password or the raw attendee list.

What kinds of events does Kefi work for?

Any live event — workshops, festivals, conferences, socials, classes, community meetups and more. Kefi handles multi-night editions, early-bird passes, door walk-ins, role-based staff (door, DJ, media, ambassadors) and a share-first flow. It was hardened running real salsa and kizomba festivals (Kizomba Union CY, United by Salsa), so the defaults are battle-tested on demanding events.

Does each event get its own page?

Yes. Every event gets its own landing page on its own URL, with schedule, registration, payment and QR check-in. Run a weekly social and a once-a-year festival side by side — each is its own page, all from one dashboard.

How does check-in work on the night, and are the tickets secure?

Attendees get a QR code when they register; door staff scan it (or look the attendee up by name) from a phone on a PIN-scoped view — no laptop, no shared password, no printed list. Every ticket carries an HMAC signature, so a screenshotted or forged code is rejected and each pass can only be used once. Walk-ins and pay-at-door are added in the same flow and land in the same ledger.

Can my team help run the event with their own access?

Yes. Kefi has role-based dashboards — door, DJ, media and ambassador — each scoped by a PIN to exactly what that person needs. Door staff scan tickets, ambassadors share their own referral link, media see their brief; nobody gets your full attendee list or your password. On Business you also get named team seats.

Does Kefi email my attendees?

Yes — confirmation on registration plus event reminders before the night, sent from Kefi on your behalf. Less no-show chasing in your DMs.

Who owns my attendee list and my page?

You do. Your attendee data is yours to export any time, the money lands in your own payment account, and on Pro you publish on your own custom domain. Kefi is the tool, not the gatekeeper — there is no lock-in and no commission on your ticket sales.
